Location

Hay-on-Wye is the internationally famous ‘town of books’, nestled in the foothills of the Black Mountains on the edge of the beautiful River Wye.

 

Getting Here

Hay is easy to reach by both car and rail and there’s ample and cheap parking.

The nearest train station is Hereford and there’s a regular bus service connecting Hereford and Hay-on-Wye.

Accommodation

Accommodation is plentiful around Hay. This is a town that can expand it’s 2000 population to over 50,000 during the Hay Festival.

Options vary from 5 Star Country Hotels to quality B&Bs and campsites. The official Hay-on-Wye website is a good place to start looking, as are other festival sites, such as The Hay Literary Festival and How The Light Gets In.
